Fall fantasy fest
This weekend we had the pleasure of attending the Fall Fantasy Fest in Fulton, N.Y. and it was an absolute blast. It was the debut of 3 new designs of dice trays inspired by witchcraft and magic, which are all up for sale now on the site.
I’ve been so happy to see the surge in popularity that tabletop gaming is experiencing! We met many adults starting to play D&D again after a decade, teens of all stripes jumping into the world of gaming, and groups of friends with great stories. Even people who were not actively playing were eager to play. Had you told me role-playing games would be this popular when I was 13 I’d never have believed it.
Seeing so many excited gamers made me feel great in spite of being disappointed that we’ve yet to open a physical game store. We’re being as judicious as we can at each step because the last thing we want is to be open for 6 months and fail because we opened a store with expensive rent or in a bad location. People should have a game store that they can feel at home in for many years, not a flash in the pan.
Happy Gaming!
